Whole School Trip to Ashridge

Whole School Trip to Ashridge

Today saw the whole school heading off to the National Trust's Ashridge Estate for a day of outside fun and activity! After arriving and meeting our guides it was straight off to explore... A mini beast hunt and a create your own 'sticky minibeast' art activity started the day off for Classes 1 and 2, while an exploratory ramble through the woods began Classes 3 and 4's day.

A whole school picnic lunch on the meadow followed! Followed naturally, with a chance to have fun and enjoy the openness of the meadow, where one of Wymondley unique qualities was clearly visible as every child from Reception to Year 6 played together in a confined space without any issues. All I could see, were children running, playing and supporting each other with a smile on their face. A wonderful sight to behold.

The afternoon saw Classes 3 and 4 taking part in their own workshops, while Classes 1 and 2 had a chance to create their own woodland base and experience all the fun that a forest can offer!

A wonderful day for the children. Thank you very much to all of our wonderful staff team for making today as successful for the children as it was and thank you very much to all of our volunteer helpers for giving up your time today to ensure the children got as much from the day as they did. Thank you all!
