Our school is situated on the edge of Little Wymondley bordering open countryside.
It is a mixed, all-ability school with around 100 pupils from 4 to 11 years.
In foundation stage, Early Learning Goals are followed. Children have a ‘Reading Record’ to record when a parent or carer hears a child read and for teachers and parents to communicate on anything else. KS2 have a 'Reading Record'.
In years 1, 2 and KS2, children learn through a topic based curriculum, in line with the national curriculum, which offers exciting ways to learn. In addition to this English and Maths are taught daily.
We are very fortunate to have a spacious building containing a large hall and stage, two Key Stage Two classrooms, one Key Stage One classroom, one Early Years classroom, a reference library, a Life Learning room and a 'quiet room'.
The school has spacious grounds surrounded by hedges and trees. We have a large sports field, a hard play area, football, netball and rounders pitches and a variety of gardens, including a set of raised beds where the children have been growing vegetables.
We are very proud of our happy and successful school, made possible by our dedicated team of hardworking staff, governors and PTA.
We are proud that our school has been recognised for providing excellent pastoral care and support. Ofsted says: "Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is reflected in the schools’ atmosphere of tolerance and harmony.
