Mindfulness for Year 6

Many of our Year 6 children took full advantage of the opportunity to take part in a set of four mindfulness sessions hosted by Neelam from the Healthy Living Centre in Letchworth at the end of the summer term. The opportunity to focus on the here and now is something that we could all benefit from with the pressures of modern life. Our Year 6's learnt different calming techniques using parts of their body, with a specific focus on breathing, as a way to cope with difficult situations. I am sure that these sessions will be of great benefit to our Year 6's as they embark on their secondary school adventures!
