Reflections on the Week...
Good afternoon Parents and Carers,
Leaving Wymondley... Today has been a difficult day. I knew that it would be. Making the decision to leave a school that I have invested so much into over the last seven years was not easy. I had a heavy heart telling the staff this morning, the children this afternoon and talking to parents and carers after school today. When my last day at Wymondley comes, at the end of the summer term, I will find it incredibly difficult. However... I will be leaving a terrific staff team, a fantastic parent body, a supportive governing body and the most amazing children! This school is in a great place and the future is bright. I am sure that the governing body will find an inspirational and outgoing person to continue the journey that the school is on and the future will continue to be a positive one for this wonderful school community!
NSPCC Speak Up. Stay Safe. In other news this week, following the letter sent out to all of you, we have had a focus on the NSPCC Speak Up. Stay Safe. programme. All children watched the virtual assembly relevant to them and worked on related activities in their classrooms. It is more important now, than ever before, that we teach children to speak to someone if they are worried and we explain to them which behaviours are acceptable to be exposed to and which are not. The programme has been really useful and informative for the children and is just one of the ways in which we have been actively teaching children how to stay safe both inside and outside of school. Thank you and I wish you all a relaxing and enjoyable weekend ahead!
