The end of a very different school year...
Today marked the end of a very different type of school year. Every child across the school has had to contend with a huge amount this year, more than any of us could ever have imagined, and they have all coped so very well. Their educational and school journey has not been easy or straight forward this year and they have not been able to take part in as many events, or had as many experiences, as we would have hoped. But they have come through this year and despite the challenges that they have faced they have continued their schooling throughout, they have gained valuable skills and they have continued to progress and for that every single one of them should be very proud.
As families, your journey through this school year has most likely been even trickier, but you have all made it to the end of the term as well. I would like to thank you all for the support that you have given your child or children throughout this difficult year. It has not been easy and we are all now looking forward to what we hope will be a far more positive autumn term ahead. Thank you as well for all for the support that you have given me and the school, in so many different ways, across this year. I hope you all have the chance to enjoy some relaxation time over the summer break and I look forward to welcoming you all back in on Thursday 2nd September. Four our Year 6 children, I wish you all the best possible start to Year 7 in your new schools as you start your secondary school adventure!
