    Wymondley Nativity Procession

Monday night saw the ever popular and ever growing Nativity procession take place through the village. As usual, it once again began at the school with the help of some festive alpacas, decorated in twinkling lights especially for the occasion, and children from the school taking on the roles of the nativity characters. With a Police guard, the 150 strong crowd of school parents, staff, local residents and family and friends, made their way through the village to finish at Little Wymondley church for a sermon from Reverend Ginni. Thank you to Reverned Ginni for organising such a wonderfully festive event and for inviting our school to take part. A Christmassy evening that was enjoyed by so many.

    Carols at Wymondley 2018

On Thursday evening the children of Classes 3 and 4 were in fine voice as they all took to the stage to perform a variety of Christmas songs to give the audience a warm and festive feeling! Thank you to the many, many children who returned to school to sing as beautifully as you did, to the staff who stayed to help, to our wonderful parents, carers and members of the local community who had the chance to enjoy it and of course to the wonderfully talented Mrs Johnson, for putting it all together and for playing the piano throughout.

Christmas Carolling at Wymondley Nursing Home

Thursday afternoon saw our school choir giving back to our local community, as they performed a number of Christmas Carols at the Wymondley Nursing Home. They were given a lovely greeting and many of the residents joined in with some of the well known classics as well. There was even a request for an encore of our own unique version of 'Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer'. Thank you very much to Mrs Johnson for all of the time and effort she has put into making our choir sound as wonderful as they do! • 'A King is Born' - Christmas Nativity 2018

Thu 06 Dec 2018 Mr Plunkett

    'A King is Born'

Congratulations to all of our children in Classes 1 & 2 for playing their part in what was a truly festive and wonderful performance. 'A King is Born' was enjoyed by an audience of just under 100 people on Thursday morning and just over 100 people on Thursday evening. But standing up in front of an audience of this size didn't seem to faze our children in the slightest. They spoke clearly and loudly, they sang, they danced, they walked through the audience and they gathered around the manger. Congratulations to each and every one of you for performing your role as well as you did.

Christmas Carolling at Needham House Hotel

Our children were in fantastic voice at Needham House Hotel today as they performed some well known Christmas songs, some new ones and a couple of twists on some old favourites. The audience of parents, family members and local residents were able to enjoy the singing with hot mulled wine and mince pies courtesy of Needham House. A fantastic way to start a busy period for our school choir and if today was anything to go by, I can't wait for their next performance! Many thanks to our own wonderful Mrs Johnson for putting today's performance together and for making our choir as strong as it is, to everyone who came along to enjoy the performance and of course to our choir for doing what they do so very well!
